Are you a professionals sales executive in Calgary?
Have you heard of the Calgary Sales Professionals Club?
Our group is nothing new to Calgary and the Sales Professionals community in Calgary. The CPSC (formerly CPSA Calgary Chapter) has served the professionals sales community in Calgary for a several years and continues to do so going into the 2011 year.
This year I am fortunate and lucky enough to join the board for the CPSC this year (what an honour as I get to work with some cool folks in Calgary) and my focus will be on the web side of our group. I will focus on getting our website redone and focused on who we serve, the professionals sales community right here in the Stampede City.
If you would like more information on the CPSC, visit our website at http://www.calgarysalespros.com/, membership is free and we all welcome you to join us via LinkedIn or Meetup.com.
Social Media in Calgary
This month I was the guest speaker and you will never guess what I spoke on – Social Media in Calgary. Yes, my favourite topic and a timely topic for sales professional community in Calgary.
Social Media is still something like black magic in the eyes of many around Calgary and really around the globe. But it doesn’t have these complexities associated with it. Social Media is not about blogging, Facebook, Twitter or the online service of the day. Social Media is about connecting, serving, helping, engaging and simply being part of the business community.
Time to be honest with each other. I don’t go on Facebook to buy anything. I use Facebook to communicate and connect with those I care about. Not to collect an endless supply of meaningless relationships.
Rarely do I use the Internet to buy stuff. But I use the Internet to communicate and to connect. The sale happens when you meet face-to-face or you engage with someone.
So folks, be careful….anyone who claims they will save the day with Facebook or Twitter is pulling your leg. Don’t buy into it.
Hey, I am also free to meet you for coffee…email me at scrawford@ulistic.com to arrange time for us to link up.
Hope you enjoy my slides from my talk at the Calgary Sales Professionals Club.
