Canadian Speaker On Social Media

The next fews months are pretty stacked when it comes to speaking on social media in Canada.  I have been so blessed to have a number of speaking events coming up all the way until June of this year.  I love to talk about my favourite subject “effective use of social media” and how small businesses can leverage online resources to help build their business.

But don’t forget, social media is just one small part of your overall marketing strategy.  It must be in balance with everything else you do.  What are some of the other things:

• Attending Your Chamber of Commerce events
• Going to Trade Shows
• Hosting your own events
• Volunteering to speak at events
• print
• postcards
• business cards
• radio/tv
• Newspapers

The list can go on…make sure your online marketing is balanced with your offline marketing.  When you use social media to market your business don’t forget there are two sides.  The friendship side and the business side.  Sometimes these can cross but in my opinion there are very separate as well.  Keep this in mind.
